A Month In The Life Of A Streaking Runner

October StreakingHappy First Day of October!

I decided to do something different with my blog posts for the month.  For October, I’m going to do a blog post each day with my run – how far, how I felt, etc.

I have a few reasons for doing this.  First of all, I’ve been really bad in blogging.  I was horrified to see that I hadn’t posted anything since August.

Second, I’ve had many runners question how far I run each day and how I make running every day work.  Now, there are many other streakers who run more miles than I do.  But, I’m going to let you in on how this almost 60-year-old gets it done.

Third, I’ve joined a blogging challenge.  I’m looking forward to the challenge to get me back to writing every day!

This is going to be a good month to let you in on my running.  It’s going to be a crazy month.  There’s a doctor’s appointment for me, minor surgery for Hubby, a half marathon, an out of town car show – plus the usual trips to Mom’s each week.

So, here we go.

Today was a rest (easy) day for me.  So, a chilly 4 miles.  Got a little later start than usual.  We had a cruise at my Hubby’s garage last night – so, didn’t get to bed as early as usual.  Plus, getting Mom all settled.  (She likes to come down for the cruises that we do).

But, it was a nice and easy run.  No speed, no hill work – just easy 4 miles around the neighborhood.

I know, pretty boring for kicking off the month – but, don’t worry things will pick up!

See ya tomorrow!

  1. That’s awesome. :) I used to run, but now my knees won’t let me. So now I wander the nature trails with my boys and the dogs. Look forward to reading more. :)

    • Thanks! Maybe you’re not running, but you are out there moving! And, I’m sure having a great time with your family and fur babies!
