It’s the time of the year that you should be thinking about setting your running goals for the new year. Do you set your goals for running? To me, it’s as important as setting goals for any other area of your life.
If you want to increase your distances run in a year – run a little faster – run in different places…..these are all things that can be included in setting your running goals. In this week’s podcast, there’s some tips and ideas to help you in doing this.
I hope that those tips help you. Take some time, sit down and plan out what you want to accomplish with your running in the next year. Plan the races that you want to run and see how easy your running schedule works around them.
Or, if you’re not into going to races, work on whatever it is that you want to achieve – write it down – and work your running schedule around them. You’ll be so glad that you took the time to do that.
In the podcast, I mentioned how important that I feel it is to keep a running journal. Here’s the one that I use – I love it! It also has running tips and other tidbits to keep you motivated throughout the year! http://budurl.com/runningjournal.
So, sit down – write out your goals – get your running journal – and then get ready to have a wonderful year of running in 2013!
