I’ll admit that I was drawn to this jacket because of the bright pink color. I know it’s not a reason to buy a running jacket – but it made me stop and look at it.
The vizipro pink color is absolutely fantastic! I run in the early morning hours – and most of the time it’s not daylight yet when I run. So I need something that makes me visible so that I can run safely. This jacket is bright so that you can be seen in the darkness.
Saucony advertises the jacket as being warm for cold weather running. As light as it is – I wondered about that. It seemed too good to be true that this lightweight jacket could protect me from the wind and keep me warm.
Hurricane Sandy was going on when I received my jacket. The first morning I wore it the temperature was in the mid-30’s and the wind was blowing 20 mph with gusts higher than that. I just wore a cold gear shirt and The Saucony Nomad Jacket on my run that morning. I was pleasantly surprised on how warm I stayed and the windproofness (if that’s a word) of this jacket. If you’re not a fan of bright pink – it does come in other colors.
There is a panel in the back that helps with airflow so that you don’t get wet and stay wet from sweating during a longer run. I ran an hour plus in this jacket this morning at 39 degrees and stayed very comfortable.

I highly recommend this jacket for anyone who is looking for a lightweight jacket and still wants to stay warm. And the color doesn’t hurt, either!
