Treadmill running. Those are 2 words that can evoke emotions in runners. Some runners absolutely love treadmills – while others would rather skip a day than run on a treadmill. OK, maybe no one absolutely loves treadmills – but they can be a good friend if you let them!
Now, I will admit – I will run outside and stay clear of my treadmill if at all possible. But, there are days (especially as I get older) when I’m glad my treadmill is in my basement waiting for me. Just like a good friend, it’s always there. And, even though they get neglected and ignored for most of the year – they are more than happy to be there when you need them.
In today’s podcast, we’ll talk about times when the treadmill is a good thing, some safety tips for treadmill running and ways to beat treadmill boredom.
As you can see, there are times when you should be on the treadmill. So, don’t treat it like an enemy – learn to know that it has it’s place. It can help you with your fitness goals and to maintain that fitness. Don’t hate your poor treadmill – it is always there for you!
